Is there a difference?

Is there a difference?

I am in a position right now where I have been critical of my kids for snapping 3.7 million pictures of themselves and posting them to the internet. Mostly this was on snapchat to start off with, but one of the kids in particular now posts loads of videos to TikTok and I don’t understand it. I mean I do actually understand it as I work in the data side of marketing and the business model is obvious, but I don’t understand the inclination of kids to post so much up online.

There is a bias here obviously, I am protective of them and I don’t want half their life plastered all over the internet, but here am I starting to post online about quite personal stuff. Is this any different? Have I been mistaken all this time about the lure of the internet, and gaining a reaction from stuff you post? Why is what I am doing different?

Well to start off with I am right and the kids are wrong and I won’t hear any more about it, but there is an element of truth to this. I am posting about stuff that I looked for on the internet but could not find. They were posting stuff on the internet that no one in their right mind could possibly be searching for, but were looking for a reaction. I think I have a valid point here.

When you google for bipolar blogs most of what turns up is written by women. I suppose women do have a tendency to be more open about their feelings. If men were the same then there would have been no need for pool tables in pubs.
