Celebrating the small things

Celebrating the small things

What – a whole bloody pound?

Ok, so a 1lb weight loss is nothing to really shout about. I mean during your average day you can go up and down quite a bit, but when you have been taking strong antipsychotic medication for around six months and all you have seen is the dial on the scales go up and up, starting to reverse the trend is a pretty momentous thing.

In the past four or five weeks I’ve really started to get back into exercise again properly, and in the last two weeks I’ve managed to conquer the cravings that Quetiapine has been driving me to have (carbs and sweet things).

I am a fairly stubborn bastard so I am really hoping that this is the start of the new me. A new me that assigns the same significance to having bipolar as I do to my eyes being hazel or my feet being a size 10. It is part of me and it is something that I cannot change, so I’m going to live with it and when it rears it’s head I’ll tell it to get back in it’s cage.

Only 27lbs to go now until I’m beach body ready 🙂
